Community Service- Aviation Industry Gives Back
The aviation industry has been involved in charity events and other philanthropic activities. Most of these activities focus on providing care, acts of kindness, and transport to the needy. In addition, they offer services that are related to health care and responses to emergency situations. Usually, different organizations in the aviation industry offer specific services as a way of giving back to the society. This paper gives an analysis of the humanitarian activities conducted by various organizations in the aviation industry The aviation industry participation in charitable acuities ensures that needy individuals have their requirements dealt with as soon as they arise.
The Air Care Alliance is a humanitarian organization that is established in the nationwide league. The volunteer pilots of the group provide a wide range of services to the community. Specifically, the organization is involved in educational experiences, support of the environment, provision of relief services in disaster areas, and conducting missions that are aimed at helping the public service. Similarly, the Air Charity Network provides related services to the society. The organization is involved in the provision of access to health facilities for people who want to get air transportation in communities and nations that are facing a crisis (“FDOT Aviation”, 2017). The Air Care Alliance is composed of individual members and organizations. It uses volunteer pilots to enable it provides its services in the locations it would like to provide various forms of assistance
The Challenge Air for Friends and Kids is also a charitable organization in the aviation industry. The organization is involved in providing inspirational, motivating and life-changing experiences to youth and children who are physically challenged. The children are trained through aviation. Usually, the group partners with the families and communities of the people who are affected by hosting events that are considered to be special and inspiring and encourage the mentally and physically challenged children as well as the young adults. The sick people are given an opportunity to fly on small planes that are piloted by people who are confined to using wheelchairs. These actions are usually a form of motivating the physically challenged people and a demonstration that they also have a purpose in life. Moreover, it also shows them that they have the ability to succeed in life. The group was formed with an aim of giving people who are young a choice and chance to face the world from a different perspective. Since these individuals view the world from the sky, this event is known as the air challenge experience (“Aviation Charities”, 2017).
The Children’s Flight of Hope is a  community service organization in the aviation industry. The group was founded in 1991 and aims at offering transport on air that is free to children who have various medical needs (“Aviation Charities”, 2017). The aim of the group is to ensure that the children who are in distant areas also have the ability to access good medical facilities. Still, others are unable to meet the financial obligations related to these services. Therefore, the members of the group ensure that the child is airlifted to a medical facility and they cater for the child’s medical bill.
The civil Air Patrol is another charitable group that offers similar services. Actually, the group has been in existence since the Second World War. The aim of the patrols is to ensure that the lives of people are saved and that the suffering of humans is alleviated through the use of operational missions and emergency services. The group is associated with a number of rescue and search operations in many areas of America and has a huge role in the relief operations. They usually offer both ground and air transport to the affected people. In addition, they are involved in the transportation of timely medical requirements to people who are in trouble. They are also involved in the carrying out damage assessment program that monitors affected areas (Walker, 2015).
The other charitable organ of the aviation industry is the Corporate Angel Network. This group operates in America and other parts of the world. It is involved in easing emotional, financial, and physical discomfort for cancer patients. The group usually arranges for flights that are free for the patients who are seeking treatment facilities by taking advantage of seats that are empty in corporate planes. The staff in the organization usually works with physicians, patients, corporations and people in charge of the flight department in ensuring that they facilitate approximately 1,200 flights every year. Every cancer patient is eligible to participate in the exercise. The eligibility of the patients is not based on the financial needs of the patient. Therefore,  patients have the chance to travel as often as necessary (Nguyen & Zhang, 2011).
The Volunteer Air Corps is also another charitable group in the aviation industry. This group usually coordinates and promotes effective volunteer aviation in cases of emergency reliefs. In times of emergencies, the members of the group and other volunteers usually offer resources that are required for the people found in the affected areas. There is usually a possibility of offering such help on a person’s needs. However, it is usually good to pre-plan for such occurrences. This will ensure that there is a contingency plan in place in case of an emergency. The volunteer pilots are usually put on call in case a disaster occurs (Walker, 2015).
The Flying Samaritans is another key community service organization in the aviation industry. This group is made up of professionals who come from different walks of life. The thing that the professionals have in common is the fact that they provide healthcare to the people who are found in Mexico. The purpose of the professionals in the group is to provide medicine and education to the people who are found in the remote parts of Mexico (“Who are the Flying Samaritans,” 2017). The Samaritans usually fly or drive to clinics that offer services that are not an emergency such as audiology, preventive care, dental hygiene, and family medicine. The Samaritans are also involved in the education of dental and medical graduates who would like to gain additional knowledge in the area.
In conclusion, the above analysis shows that aviation practitioners have come up with efforts that are aimed at giving back to the society. Generally, the members of the industry have come up with some groups that are interrelated, and they help in offering essential services and help to the societies. The groups are run by the member donations. Normally, these financiers are people who have a motive of improving the welfare of the community.  Therefore the involvement of businesses in the aviation industry into charitable operations ensures that the needy have their requirements addressed as soon as they occur.
