Business case: It is common for the elderly residents in the home to have difficulties calling for help or assistance from their care experts. As one ages it is common for an individual to lose their motor skills with time. Other senses affected include memory, speech, hearing and sight. Problem Statement Currently the aged are required to alert for attention through traditional aid gadgets like pace setters, blood pressure watches and other medical accessories such as writing on boards to get attention of their care takers. This traditional aid kits remain relevant but their effectiveness have been reduced extremely and some may alert care takers when it is already too late. It is critical for the development of an Android application to help the elderly and ease communication with care takers. The Android application will be a simple app that enables the aged to click to alert care takers, aid in speech, memory and communication of the elderly. |
