In the academic ladder, it is essential to choose the best major among the many available choices. A well-selected major will reflect the learner’s educational background, interests, and his or her future career plans. Thus, it is crucial to choose the best major from an informed position. This paper discusses the best way to select one’s major.
Before choosing the optional major in college, it is paramount to consider your interests, passions, and values. These attributes are essential when choosing a major that will fulfill the future and current needs of every learner. For example, students who have interests in engineering studies should choose majors in these disciplines. Similarly, those with a passion for entrepreneurship should select majors in business. Also, the learners should weigh the value of a given major in their life and use it to determine the course that they should study.
It is important to consider career prospects when selecting the most appropriate major. People have different opportunities in their future careers. Some end up as either teachers, doctors, business persons, or specialists in various professions. In this case, the student should factor these prospects in their choice of majors and select their courses accordingly. However, the career expectation should not prevent the learner from choosing the right major in his/her field of interest and passion. The learner should be free to pick the course that best fulfills his/her personal attributes and preferences. Moreover, he/she should make personal decisions without the interference of his/her parents or community. In the case of the need for clarifications on a given subject, it is advisable for a learner to seek guidance from career counselors or guardians.
I see that you wrote a clear and concise paper, however, there are areas that you need to improve. Please read my comments carefully and follow the attached links for more study on the issues I have raised. Pay attention to the following areas.
Organization of Ideas
You should organize your sentences systematically to ensure that the reader can easily understand the ideas developed in the paper. On the same note, you should ensure that your paragraphs express a single idea (I have attached a link on this issue). Similarly, you should merge short paragraphs that discuss the same idea. (I have merged the last two paragraphs). You should also use appropriate transitive words so that the customer understands the ideas the paper develops. Only use transitive words that you understand their meaning. I have highlighted on the improper use of “conversely.” Note that I have also deleted the words “on the other hand” from the third paragraph since they were used inappropriately.
You should avoid cases of repetition and tautology. In this sentence, for example, “Also, the learners should weigh the value of a given major in their life and determine the course of their interest that has the highest value to them.” Since the sentence is talking about the learners, there is no need of writing the words “to them.”
Always organize your papers according to the required paper format. In MLA, the paper must be double-spaced and written in a legible font. You must also indent the paragraphs one half-inch from the left margin. However, the paragraphs should not be indented if they appear after the first, second, third, fourth, or fifth heading.
You should write the customer’s details in the upper left-hand corner of the first page. You should list the student’s name, the instructor’s name, the course, and the date. Again, be sure to use double-spaced text.
You should center the title. Do not underline, italicize, or place your title in quotation marks; write the title in title case. I have attached a link on this issue. Please read my comments carefully.
Finally, you must ensure that all your papers have a conclusion.
I believe that you will study all the issues that I have highlighted and improve on your writing.
